The Robot Vacuum Deals Case Study You'll Never Forget

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

The design is also better than the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel which other robots couldn't do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best option is probably a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings.  self vacuum  can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, but it can help to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that do a really good job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do everything.

If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper however it comes with more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's simple to set up, simply attach one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock close to an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move around however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin, which does not require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
